In February 2001, David Herrgott creates Internet site which called “Les Trains”, railway site. In September 2001, “Les Trains” site is recalles “Web Trains”. Until the end of 2004, are 9 consecutive versions of the site which will transform it into railway portal.

In January 2005, the group Web Trains creates officially the webtrains.net portal, and becomes leader of railway information.

In May 2005, the group startes its first strategic diversification by developing magtrain.com, a newspaper of transport, via-train.com, a train-plane prices-comparator and yellowtrains.com, a world directory of the railway companies. This diversification is horizontal, it makes it possible the group to position in the information of the railroads, urban transportation and air transports. It is also a vertical diversification while opening with the railway newspaper, railway tourism and the railway directory.

At the end of the year 2005, the group continues its diversification by multiplying its local versions proposed in 9 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian and Swedish.

In May 2006, the group launches its European portal of informative system, webtrains.eu, succesor of Web Trains European in December 2005.

In June 2006, the group continues its strategic diversification by developing a new search engine LocoTrain succesor of search.webtrains.net (open in June 2005). It maintains the group as a leader of research and railway referencing.

In June 2006, the group continues its diversification by multiplying its local versions proposed in 10 languages.
